A Brief History
Picture this. It’s 1996 and Real Player is the king of all internet streaming media. This is where VooDooStevie assumed the name Stephen Fox and broadcasted a live internet radio show for WPEN: Penumbra Cyber-Radio it was a pagan based streaming audio network which his show was the edgier one on the network.
3 years later he began a Shoutcast Stream using MasterFox as his name and had a show based on table top role playing games (ala D&D) that was mediocre in content but somehow drew a small gathering of listeners. He archived the show and received more downloads than the actual live listeners. This was the predecessor to the podcast phenomena that he had begun on January 16th 2006.
Since then he has played music from all independent artists world wide and has had received the permission to play acts such as The 69Eyes, Mankind is Obsolete, Lourds, Trashlight Vision, The Echoing Green, Sister Machine Gun, Lacrimosa, Elusive, VAST, The Cruxshadows, Voltaire, and many more.
A weekly show with breaks here and there he strives to promote independent artists local to him in the Greater Springfield, MA area as well as world wide. The major labels have been pumping out crap and terrestrial radio only plays said crap. Smaller labels and no label artists, please, look to podcasting for airplay! Allow shows like mine to play you so that we can show the world your talents and above all crush corporate radio and the stuff people really need to hear! VooDooRadio Supports this.
Even though we still support the independent music scene, we do more than just play music now, we are the best variety show around! With clips and spoofs abound! As well as bizarre news stories from all over.
So what the F**K is VooDooRadio?
VooDooRadio is a podcast (internet radio show that you listen to on your computer or mobile MP3 player) that just kicks ass! A variety of music, humor and mayhem.
No you do not need an iPod to listen to the show. You can download the files and listen to them on your media player on your computer, use the flash players on the site, or you can download the MP3 and burn it to a CD. Subscribing, however you will need a feed aggregator, iTunes is the more well known program but WinAmp handles podcasts as well as many other pieces of software out there. DO a search for “podcast feed aggregator” and you will see what I mean. These just help you automatically download the latest shows without having to go to the site every week (though I don’t mind the visits. 
It is just making it easier for you).
